Should I bring lunch for the tour?

Yes, please bring your own lunch and snacks to keep you fueled during the tours!

I’ve never tried packrafting before. Is it difficult for the first time?

No problem! In our packrafting tour, we will packraft in a lake, We will provide safety talks, demonstrations and support. We’ll have a nice and slow time in nature. We will do the safety talks, demonstrations and support.

Should I tip my guide? How much?

Tipping is always appreciated. For our day trips, a good estimate is between 10% and 20% of the trip cost. Thank you for considering this ahead of time!

Do I have to carry my own gear?

Yes. We ask you to carry gear such as inflatable packraft, lunch, drink, snacks, hat, clothes or something like that . We will provide a backpack to put gears for our tours. But no worries there is no reason to rush! This tour is private and we’d love to enjoy our time together as much as we can. 

Where can I store my luggage during the tour?

You can leave your luggage at our shop for free. If you have a small valuable item that you are particularly nervous about – just ask us.

How do I get to the meeting point?

The meeting point is near Lake Chuzenji in Nikko. From JR Nikko Station, take the Tobu Bus bound for Chuzenji Onsen (about 45 minutes). We will send you detailed directions and a Google Maps link after your booking.

Do the guides speak English?

Some of our staff can speak basic English. Even if you’re not fluent in Japanese, don’t worry — We make sure all guests can enjoy the experience with gestures, visual instructions, and passions. Many of our international guests have had a great time with us!

What happens if it rains on the day of the tour?

The tour won’t be canceled with light rain. However, in case of harsh weather conditions like thunderstorms or strong wind, we may cancel the tour for safety reasons. In such cases, we will contact you in advance and offer a full refund or reschedule.

Can I join the tour if I can’t swim?

Yes, you can! All participants are required to wear life jackets, and our guides are trained in water safety. Just let us know in advance if you have any concerns.

Is there a place to change clothes or use the restroom?

Yes, we provide changing rooms and restrooms near the meeting point. We recommend arriving a little early if you need time to change.

Can I bring my camera or smartphone during the tour?

Yes, but please be aware that there is a possibility that your stuff may be submerged or lost. We recommend using waterproof bags, or leaving valuables in a safe place. We also take photos during the tour and share them after the tour.

Is it family-friendly?

The packrafting tour is suitable for participants aged 10 and above. Children under 10 years old must share a packraft with an adult.

The ice climbing tour is suitable for participants aged 15 and above.

For safety reasons, we unfortunately cannot accept guests under these age limits. Thank you for your understanding.

Are there changing rooms?

Yes, there are changing rooms available at the meeting point.
You can also change clothes at our office before the tour.
